Wakefield Pork's customized internships are set up to suit the student's individual needs. We realize that each student has a different impression of their career goals and what they'll need to achieve them. Would you like to do a little of everything or concentrate on farrowing and litter care? WPI can structure a comprehensive internship experience or help you develop a specific skill set. Let us help you design a rewarding intern experience!
Interns will work with our Intern Program Coordinator to manage their time at Wakefield Pork. This partnership will allow the intern to communicate their needs freely.
The Intern Project
Interns will work with the Intern Program Coordinator and their unit manager to develop an Intern Project. It may consist of a small experiment or production project that will be their sole responsibility to over-see for an agreed upon period of time. WPI hopes this will give the student some ownership in their intern experience and provide an additional learning opportunity for their resume.
